Wine By Air International has been moving wine collections
both domestically and internationally for the past 10 years. Our staff,
including our packing agents, are wine knowledgeable and wine lovers.
We know the importance of temperature control, minimal vibration, careful
handling and secure packaging of your cherished wine collection.
We can work directly with you, the customer,
or you can have your moving company coordinator contact us to cut down
on paperwork and phone calls.
Logistics Scenario
Packaging
Each bottle of wine will be pulled from its rack
and individually secured in a custom-contoured polystyrene case. This
solid, cylindrical housing is extremely sturdy and is able to withstand
substantial impact. The thermos-like insulated compartments provide
excellent insulation against the elements.
Transfers and Handling
Generally, your freight is shrink-wrapped on a
pallet to better control inventory and to minimize handling. Unlike
express companies, we avoid the use of conveyer belts and tossing of
loose pieces which maximizes control and prevents unnecessary abuse
to the life of your wine.
Transportation
Your prized wine collection is moved via air freight
as "perishable goods." Before and after its flight, it is
held in a cooler at a wine-friendly, regulated temperature. The gentle
suspension and speed of air travel minimizes vibration and stirring
of sediments.
Delivery
Upon arrival at the destination airport, your
semi-perishable shipment is either recovered promptly for expedited
delivery or held in a cooler pending pick-up by our delivery courier.

Temperature and humidity-controlled storage is
available in most major U.S cities for additional charges.
Note: We are only able to
keep your wine in the airport facility coolers for a very brief period.
If you are unable to accept direct or immediate delivery, please advise
us well in advance so we can facilitate your request by special arrangements.

U.S. airports.
Packing agents are generally dispatched from a local wine shop.
If we are able to recover the freight directly
from unloading, we may forego the cooler to expedite delivery.
Pick-ups and deliveries are based on a 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. time
window. Deliveries within a shorter window may incur additional charges.
Refrigerated truck transfers and scheduled flights are available by special request for additional charges.
Unpacking services are not part of this service. However, special
arrangements may be available by advance request for additional charges.
