Through these two experiences, he discovered the difficulty in bringing them together and having a smooth—let alone, quick and easy—transaction. Some of the challenges Mike observed were the ever-changing import laws and restrictions for each country and state, permits and licenses that can be required, tedious and complicated customs paperwork for import and export of alcohol, to name a few—all of which can result in too much opportunity for miscommunication, delay and irrepairable complications. Not to mention FRUSTRATION! Frustration for wine shops, wine collectors, auction houses, moving companies, tourists, corporations, individuals and wine lovers of any kind—who don’t have the time to specialize in international alcohol shipping as well as their own trade…or life.
